Cryptocurrency prices today showed a mix of ups and downs, with Bitcoin (BTC) maintaining its position above $72,000 after reaching a high of over $72,850. Meanwhile, Ethereum (ETH) saw a significant increase, surpassing the $4,000 mark. However, other top altcoins, including Solana (SOL), XRP, and Cardano (ADA), experienced volatility.

The Bitcoin price continued to hover around $72,000, rising by 0.53% to $72,181.36 at the time of writing on Wednesday, March 13. Despite a 5.37% decrease in trading volume to $61.17 billion in the last 24 hours, BTC maintains a strong market cap of $1.41 trillion.

The Ethereum price also saw a slight increase of 0.13%, reaching $4,043.54 with a market valuation of $485.51 billion. However, its trading volume declined by 6.80% to $2,6.17 billion. On the other hand, Binance Coin (BNB) saw a 0.64% decrease in price to $537.94, but its 24-hour trade volume increased by 9.27% to $4.04 billion.

The Solana price dropped by 2.70% to $149.70, falling below the $150 level. Despite this, its trading volume saw a 0.99% increase to $5.67 billion. Meanwhile, XRP approached the $0.70 level with a 0.06% gain, trading at $0.6952. However, its trading volume decreased by 49.81% to $3.62 billion.

The Cardano price also saw a decline of 1.63% to $0.7511, with a 29.16% decrease in trading volume to $936.72 million. As the top cryptocurrency prices experienced volatility, popular meme coins followed suit. Dogecoin (DOGE) saw a 1.63% decrease in price to $0.1717, while its rival Shiba Inu (SHIB) declined by 1.09% to $0.00003285.

Pepe Coin (PEPE), a popular meme coin, saw a 7.18% increase in price to $0.000008999, with a market valuation of $3.76 billion. However, its trading volume decreased by 7.70% to $1.37 billion.

Toncoin (TON) Rallies 20%

Toncoin (TON), the cryptocurrency launched by Telegram, saw an impressive surge of over 20% and ranked as the top gainer for two consecutive days. Its price rose by 20.50% to $4.44, with a trading volume of $371.45 million. TON also reached a high of $4.50 during its recent rally.
