Dear friends,
Devcon’s Wave of tickets went quickly after being released yesterday! After two years of anticipation, the team was filled with curious anticipation. But don’t worry, more tickets will be coming soon.
Today we proudly announce the return of the Devcon Scholars Program, the EF initiative to assist critical Ethereum builders in overcoming obstacles to attend Devcon. Read more here to find out if you qualify and how to apply.
Making Devcon a four-day conference is not enough. It’s a full experience, and we’re proud to announce the first events for Devcon Week!
Devcon Week comprises Ethereum events related to the official conference days of October 11-14. To honor Devcon’s decentralized organization, Devcon Week kicks off with an EthGlobal Hackathon and ends with a community space. The Ethereum Foundation Latam Day and more events will be posted on the Devcon Week Calendar. The next few weeks will be exciting!*
*This schedule does not reflect the many community events and meetups that will take place around Devcon. You can expect another page soon, featuring more events hosted by the greater Ethereum community.
Devcon Scholars Program is Back
We’re thrilled to announce the return of the Devcon Scholars Program!
If you believe your attendance at Devcon will have a positive influence on the future of Ethereum, and you are otherwise unable to attend the event due to cost, then apply for the scholarship program between now and August 1.
Devcon is the best place for builders and contributors. It’s also an opportunity for new faces, places, and entire communities to join the fold. Unfortunately, some of the key builders in the Ethereum ecosystem face obstacles when it comes to attending Devcon (monetary or otherwise).
The Devcon Fellows Program provides complete support to make Devcon accessible to more than 50 individuals who are capable of making a meaningful impact on Ethereum and its community, but can’t attend without financial or other assistance. Fellows will be provided with Devcon tickets, transportation funding, accommodation, per diem, and visa application assistance. Before and during Devcon Week, there will be both face-to-face and online meetings so that fellows can meet, learn, and prepare for the best experience in Bogotá, Colombia.
Applications are Now Open
The Devcon Scholars Program is looking for builders who are confident that their attendance at Devcon would make a big difference in the future of Ethereum. We want Devcon Bogotá to be a hub of Ethereum innovation, and we need to have the best builders in our ecosystem, no matter their circumstances.
If you are a student, builder, entrepreneur, or journalist, and you believe your attendance at Devcon would make a difference, we would love to hear from you about your plans for taking advantage
