Pooky has officially released its Play-and-Earn game, offering users a sustainable tokenomics model and many other enhanced features. The Spooky Team announced in a press release that the full version went live on Thursday, 23 March 2023.
Players now have access to an in-game economic system that rewards performance. While a free-to play version is still available, users can also take advantage of promotional offers to gain access to the play-and-earn version.
Compete and Win NFTs and Rewards With Pookyball
Pooky was co-founded by two brothers – Claudio and Stefano Riff – and launched in September 2022. It also includes Alfred Vesligaj, a former game designer from Splinterlands, and Damian Volatino, the Lead Product Designer from The Sandbox.
The team revealed that the full launch of Pooky comes after a four-month beta program that saw players make over 700,000 predictions. During this period, Pooky recorded 7,000 recurring users and its first 1,000 Genesis Pookyball NFTs were sold out before the game was live.
To win the game, players must use their Pookyball NFTs, which are teams that compete against each other to predict the results of football matches. The player is rewarded according to their skill level and overall rank.
As part of the launch promotion, Pooky is offering a prize pool to be awarded per matchday prediction. The top 50% in each category will be eligible to share a minimum of 500 MATIC per matchday. The Community can also mint Pookyball NFTs for the Pooky NFT market.
The startup raised over €3 million during its pre-seed funding round, with backers including VC firm Claster Investments.
