Global Association of Digital Assets and Cryptocurrencies Appoints Maggie Sklar as Incoming Leader of the Public Politics and Regulation Department

Chicago, Ill.The Global Association For Digital Assets Cryptocurrencies (“Global DCA”), a self-regulatory association for the cryptocurrency and digital asset industry, is proud to announce that Maggie Sklar will be taking the helm of the Public Politics and Regulation Committee from January 1, 2023. Formerly a partner at Davis Wright Tremaine, LLP, Maggie has also served as Senior Policy Advisor Director of International Engagement for the Financial Markets Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Additionally, she was a Senior Counsel to the CFTC Chairman, Deputy Senior Counsel to the FSOC, Associate Director at the International Affairs Office, Senior Advisor to LabCFTC, and Special Advisor to the Market Supervision Division. Maggie holds a cum laude degree from Georgetown University Law Center and University of Georgia and is a founding member of the Women’s Association in Cryptocurrency. She has also been involved in various industry associations responding to developments in digital assets and legislation.

Maggie is succeeding Michael Frisch of Croke, Fairchild, Morgan & Beres LLC. “Maggie has been an invaluable contributor and thought leader on the committee this past year, and I am confident she will continue the committee’s standard of excellence and collaboration,” said Frisch.

The Public Policy Regulation Committee (PPR Committee) works to fulfill Global DCA’s goal of simplifying the regulatory and legal landscape for digital assets. PPR’s activities encourage regulations that balance innovation in cryptocurrency and digital asset technology and industries with the protection of consumers and the public interest. The Committee also serves as the platform through which Global DCA formulates its policy positions and strategies and distributes important news, events, and flagship issues that members and interested companies should be aware of when navigating the industry’s complexities. the creation and distribution of digital assets.
