Investing.com – Litecoin experienced a significant surge in price on Sunday, as the exchange rate hit $76.220 at 19:59 GMT (23.59 GMT) Investing.com Index. This marked an increase of 10.1%, the most significant single-day jump since March 12.
The surge in value pushed Litecoin’s market cap up to $5.436B or 0.54%, making up around 5% of the total cryptocurrency market capitalization. At its peak, Litecoin’s market cap was $25.609B.
Litecoin traded within a range of $67.440 to $66.300 in the last 24 hours.
Looking at the past week, the value of the company has dropped 16.61%. The total volume of all cryptocurrency transactions was $741.706M, or 1.15%, in the 24 hour period, with prices ranging from $65.1000 to $88.9400.
At its current price, Litecoin is still down 81.85% from its all-time high of $420.00 on December 12, 2017.
