Seoul, South Korea, December 12th, 2023, Chainwire – OverProtocol Layer 1 blockchain is preparing for a mainnet launch in the first half of the upcoming year. The project has already completed a closed beta testnet with 15,000 applicants from across 127 countries, 1,300 of whom have successfully passed all tests.
In order to build a strong and cohesive community, OverProtocol is launching a Community Airdrop Program, with two quests. The first quest, which is already active, has attracted massive participation. Over the past six months, more than 4.7 million users have joined, and more than one million have completed missions every month. The second quest focuses on engaging with OverValidators running via OverNode on the Open Beta Testnet.
The Open Beta Testnet is divided into two seasons. The first season will run from December 13th to 22nd, and the second season is scheduled for February the next year. During the seasons, participants can test Home Staking, running a validator and node at home with OverNode, as well as getting to know Ethanos – a key feature of OverProtocol. Everyone can take part in the OBT Season, the only requirement is to have enough points collected on OverWallet from completing missions.
Instructions for OBT Season 1:
1. Download the OverNode Client: This is the first step of engaging in missions. Install the OverNode Client on your computer.
2. Complete Missions: Structured guidance is provided in the OverNode Client to effectively complete your missions.
Additionally, pioneers should:
– Follow the Official OverNode Channel on X: Stay up-to-date with all important announcements during the Testnet period.
– Access OverNode from the Official Website: The OverNode will soon be available on our official site from December 13th, 02:00 UTC.
– Familiarize with the Mission Types: In our official publication, we provide an overview of the seven types of missions. It’s designed to assist users in understanding and effectively engaging with each mission type.
OverProtocol is an innovative layer 1 blockchain that uses a protocol called ‘Ethanos’, which only counts active accounts as valid. Full nodes can then discard outdated data and use less storage space, allowing them to operate more efficiently. Superblock is developing ‘OverNode’, a full-node server that allows anyone running a full node to OverProtocol and become an invalidator on their PCs at home.
“By allowing anyone to run a validator, individuals have the opportunity to earn $OVER through a process known as Home Staking. This enables them to embrace a new lifestyle, offering new payment options, enhanced credit, and innovative financial opportunities,” Ben, CEO of Superblock, added.
