Polish Financial Authority Grants Bitrue VASP Status

Published:

Bitrue has recently become registered as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) in Poland, following a press release on Friday. This allows the crypto exchange to offer its services in and from Poland, now adhering to local regulations.

Europe is an important market for Bitrue, and the exchange is striking while the iron is hot with the MiCA (Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation) Act approved earlier in May. Robert Quartly-Janeiro, Chief Strategy Officer of Bitrue, believes that the recent collapses of Terra Luna and FTX are helping traditional financial institutions move into the cryptocurrency space.

Bitrue affirms that it continues to look for opportunities to expand in Europe, and it has implemented additional money laundering policies and procedures required for the license in Poland.

The crypto market in Poland is rising, as earlier this month, peer Bitget was also registered in the country. Many believe that institutional interest in cryptocurrency will further increase once the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approves a Spot Bitcoin ETF.
