According to a recent alert from Blockchain security firm CertiK, a Raydium protocol exploiter has sent 1,774.5 Ether (ETH), worth approximately $2.7 million, to the cryptocurrency mixer Tornado Cash.
The incident serves as a reminder of the ongoing battle between security teams of different exchanges and hackers, who are constantly looking for ways to launder their ill-gotten funds. Tornado Cash is a licensed crypto mixer, widely used by the crypto community.

The attack on the decentralized financial (DeFi) protocol Solana was first reported on December 16. It is suspected that the exploit was possible due to an error in the smart contracts of the decentralized exchange, allowing malicious actors to withdraw liquidity funds to pay fees.
In order to compensate for the losses, the Raydium Team proposed a plan for reimbursing victims of the hack, involving the use of tokens from the autonomous decentralized organization to buy back the stolen tokens.
It appears that the efforts of the security teams of centralized crypto exchanges Binance and Huobi have been successful too. According to reports, the two exchanges managed to recover 121 Bitcoin (BTC), valued at $2.5 million at the time, from hackers who had stolen them from the Harmony One blockchain.
