Heading to Devcon: Grants for Events and Meetups

Published:

Organizers are the backbone of the Ethereum community, and without them, even the most exciting events would be lost in the dark. But why trust random encounters?

Big events are awesome, but not everyone can travel to attend one. Smaller gatherings are key for making Ethereum more accessible, inclusive, and unified. With an internet connection, anyone can join a virtual meetup or an online hackathon team. The possibilities are endless.

With that in mind, the Devcon team is now offering grants of between $500 and $1500 for local meetups and events. If you need help covering costs or have had to cancel something due to a lack of resources, you can apply for assistance. There is no charge for events that meet the criteria, and the team is more than happy to help.

To be eligible, your event must be:

  • Centered around Ethereum
  • Free to attend
  • Open to all
  • Hosted in-person (following all COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions)
  • Not focused on investing, selling, or token prices
  • Not already occurred

We look forward to hearing from organizers around the world. If your event meets the criteria, simply submit the form and you’ll receive a “Road to Devcon” badge to display on your site.

This batch of grants is tailored to smaller events with lower costs and easier applications. If you don’t fit the criteria or need a larger sponsorship, you can still submit a query to ESP. 🦄
