According to some sources, an incident occurred on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. A tweet from a verified account was allegedly selling a Binance Smart Chain Decentralized change token listing Pancakeswap. An analysis of the situation on the blockchain shows that the token was bought for less than $1000 prior to the post being taken down.
Onchain Study reflects that the effect of scam Tweets shared by the Robinhood’s Twitter profile is minimal
On Wednesday afternoon around 12:30 pm ET, Twitter users were discussing the situation with the Robinhood Verified Twitter account, @robinhoodapp. The tweet sent by the account was selling a Binance Smart Chain (BSC) token listed on Pancakeswap. The tweet was removed by the author, but it can still be seen via a capture from archive.org and the numerous screenshots that have been shared on Twitter.
The tweet read: “Reminder, we are launching our NEW TOKEN ($RBH) on Binance Smart Chain. It will be live at 12 AM EST. You can be among the first to buy at a starting price of $0.0005.” The Tweet, which was sent from the @Robinhoodapp account, also included a link to the Pancakeswap platform, where the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) token is listed.

“Oh my gosh,” one Twitter user wrote on Wednesday. “Robinhood’s Twitter Account hacked. They are posting links for some crypto giveaway stuff. Nobody is safe in this world,” added the individual. “Robinhood’s official Twitter account appears to have been hacked,” another account commented on Twitter.
Conor Grogan, Coinbase Employee: A worker tweets passionately about chain activities tweeted regarding the scam. “It appears that Robinhood’s social media was hacked,” said on-chain investigator, one of the most prominent of these on Twitter. “They only got ~10 people to bite the scam token before the link was removed.” Grogan added:
For now, the token has only been seen [less than] $1000 worth of purchases. You could assume that people are now looking for thrills and have noticed a rise in the number of purchases.
Your point of view caught my eye and was very interesting. Thanks. I have a question for you.
