Wordle
This A web-based game created by software engineer Josh Wardle is known as Wordle. The title is derived from the combination of letters that make up the game’s name. Google Search revealed that the most sought-after term in 2022 was “trending.” The game was eventually picked up by the New York Times in February of that year.
The game consists of guessing a five-letter word. You are provided with six chances. To make it simpler for players, the game highlights the alphabet in green if it is in the right place. When the letter is present, but not in its correct position, it will turn yellow. If it is not in the word at all, it will be shown in gray. This way, it is easier to make an educated guess.
Since people found it enjoyable, many started solving the daily Wordle puzzles. It became a part of their everyday routine, and they shared their results on Twitter to show off their skills.
Elon Musk’s Purchase of Twitter
Twitter had become a popular hub for the latest topics, but it was thrust into the spotlight in 2022 when it was acquired by Elon Musk. After the announcement, there was a lot of drama in April. Musk has brought in several changes, such as redesigning the iconic blue logo and cutting in half the number of Twitter employees.
Elon Musk made a grand entrance at the Twitter HQ, posting a photo with the caption “let it sink in” on the platform. He is slowly making progress, but there is still more to come in this Twitter saga.

5G in India
By 2022, 5G had become a reality in India and was a great option for some smartphone users. Major cities already had 5G networks provided by Jio, Airtel, and other telcos. With download speeds up to 1Gbps, 5G not only offers high speeds, but also provides a low latency network, ideal for online gaming with a lower input latency. Airtel provides NSA-based 5G (non-standalone) while Jio provides SA-based 5G (standalone) known as “true 5G.” Vi, BSNL, and other telcos are expected to upgrade their networks in 2023.
Crypto Fall
2021 was an amazing year for crypto and NFT fans, but 2022 will not be as fondly remembered by cryptocurrency investors. The prices of most cryptocurrencies plummeted in 2017, and the collapse of Terra-Luna made the market even more volatile. The worst part of it was the FTX platform bankruptcy, which caused a great deal of financial damage. To add fuel to the fire, Ethereum switched from proof-of-work to proof-of-stake. This was a major setback for miners, particularly if they had invested large sums in GPUs and mining rigs.
ChatGPT
Open AI’s ChatGPT has shown us what an AI-powered chatbot can achieve in 2022. This AI-powered chatbot can interact with humans in a conversation, and is based on huge amounts of data. It can also compose video scripts and provide plot information. This caused a lot of debate about whether ChatGPT is a true AI.
ChatGPT became very popular in a short time after its beta was released. The current version is ChatGPT 3.0 and ChatGPT 4, with support for 1 billion parameters, will be available in 2023. This could open up great possibilities for ChatGPT.
